The is no waste management system in the whole district of Sershul. Since 2008, Norlha supports projects aiming at raising awareness of the people regarding the risks of waste, and sensitizing on general environment issues. Furthermore, the project arranges the collection, separation, transportation and selling of garbage in four villages of the region, reaching directly a population estimated at 13'000 people.
Supporting Education in Tibet
Nepal is among the poorest countries in the world. The situation for the exile families from Tibet is even worse. Education for young Tibetans is often not affordable. However, education is essential for the future of the families that live in exile. Our aid focuses on families in which the father is missing and the mother has to carry the burden for the education of her children alone. Norlha arranges sponsorships for the benefit of the semi-orphans.
